Battery Issues!

Yesterday morning, my neighbourhood experienced a little bit of load scheduling. This meant our lights were out for a couple of hours.

I had refused to charge my phone the night before and my battery life was critically low. However, I was still happily chatting and making calls when I had just 2% of battery life remaining. At 1% I left the phone in the couch and went to finish up a house chore. I was expecting the battery to die by the time I returned from wherever I was going to.

Interestingly I returned almost two hours later with my battery still intact. I was amused and began bragging about how good my battery was.

Today as I sat on my bed, the Holy Spirit made me realize that our faith could be likened to my phone battery life.

Will your anchor hold in the
storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their
wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the
cables strain,
Will your anchor drift or firm
remain?

How long will you battery life last against all the odds and storms of life. Will your faith cave into doubt and complain just because your battery life dies?

Keep growing your faith today so that it doesn’t die into doubt.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

God loves you.
